„Latvijas balzams” is included on so - called
„White list” of Latvian companies. It is a special cooperation
programme of State Revenue Service that includes already 17 local
companies that meet the requirements of the
Programme.
Guntis Āboltiņš – Āboliņš, the Head of the Board of
„Latvijas balzams” commenting this step says:
„We are one of the largest taxpayers in the country and our
cooperation with the State Revenue Service has been always positive
and constructive. The main objective for us is to continue to
accomplish the internal control procedures within the company by
using the Professional advices of tax consultants available for the
Programme members”.
The companies that will join the Programme in the future will
be entitled to such privileges as faster repayment of value-added
tax and simplified customs clearing procedures. Members of the
Programme will also be provided with individual tax consultants and
promptly notified about possible tax payment risks.
JCS „Latvijas balzams” is the leading producer of alcoholic
beverages in Latvia and one of the largest taxpayers. During
the first half of 2012 JSC “Latvijas balzams” paid 16.1 million
lats to the state budget, including the excise tax amounting to
11.2 millions lats.
Companies’ performance has been accomplished with the Silver
medal in National Sustainability Index 2012 which proves the
progress in internal control and risk management.
