Press release Four international awards increased export of AS
Latvijas balzams
Four international awards were granted to AS Latvijas
balzams, thus unexpectedly high interest of alcohol importers
around the world has emerged. Riga Black Balsam Currant and brandy
Grand Cavalier are highly appreciated by the two most prestigious
international spirits competitions and granted with 1 gold and 3
silver medals.
Riga Black Balsam over time has received 50
awards. Its line extension Riga Black Balsam Currant appears
to be as successful - on the international competition The Liqueur
Master 2011 in London the independent jury awarded silver medal to
Riga Black Balsam Currant for the taste in the category Herbal
Liqueurs and Bitters and gold medal in the category Design and
packaging.
The Liqueur Master 2011, within the competition series
The Spirit Master, is one of the most prestigious competitions in
the alcoholic beverage industry and Riga Black Balsam Currant
debuted there to try its abilities among the best alcoholic
beverage brands from all over the world.
At the same time Riga Black Balsam Currant has surprised
with its uniqueness the evaluators of ne more prestigious forum –
the International Wine & Spirits Competition in Great Britain.
Riga Black Balsam Currant was recognised as the best in its class
there by receiving the silver medal in the category Flavoured
alcoholic beverages.
Moreover, Grand Cavalier, which was created especially
for Lithuania market and has been imported brandy No.1 in Lithuania
since 2009, was awarded a silver medal in the Brandy category on
this prestigious competition. Its balanced taste is acquired by
uniting selected wine spirits of Azerbaijan and France. Grand
Cavalier is not only a leader in Lithuania, but it is fancied also
in Poland, Russia, Great Britain and now in Estonia,
too.
The most exotic destination of AS Latvijas balzams
products is Namibia, though among the 30 export markets are such
countries as Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, etc.
“This year a decision was made to expand scope and to
export spirits to Africa. And outright in Namibia a local
dealer chose AS Latvijas balzams among various spirits’
producers. AS Latvijas balzams exports to Namibia vodka (e.g.
LB vodka), Riga Black Balsam, long-drinks, liqueurs, gin, and
brandy. ” told Viktors Kirpičkins, Export Director of AS Latvijas
balzams.
