Riga Technical University (RTU)” and company JSC „VEF Radiotehnika RRR" on Tuesday signed an agreement on cooperation in the civil engineering specialists, student placement in, learning and working environment and development, as well as knowledge and technology transfer. 

Consequently with this agreement RTU Rector Leonids Ribickis and JSC „VEF Radiotehnika RRR" Edward Malejevs committed to collaborate.  in new product development by using combined laboratory equipment. In cooperation parties will apply to common European Union-funded projects. Both parties are decided to organize scientific and technical information exchange conferences and seminars. The company is committed to engage students in learning and practice of the RTU curriculum design and development, but the university committed to developing the training program trainees. 

RTU Rector and Mr. Maļejevs committed to develop proposals for the electronics industry showcasing the centers of excellence in the context. 

Maļejevs pointed out that in Latvia can be found, in his opinion, one of the best schools in the world who prepared the new experts in acoustic speaker fields, and it is important to keep it in good level. The company therefore invites the new RTU electronics specialists to participate in taking over the traditions and continue the development of the company in the future. Maļejevs said that currently the company is working with the "hi-tech" technologies and specialists can gain invaluable practical experience. However, there is still demand for the "Radiothenikas" legendary products.
