The Management Board of JSC “Latvian Shipping Company” is added with the new member with international experience By organizing international tender of recruitment, the
new member – Pavel Semenyuta has been elected in the Management
Board of joint stock company „Latvijas kuģniecība” (Latvian
Shipping Company) for the five year term of duties. The new member
of the Management Board has acquired a wide international
experience in the investment banking and corporate finance. Since
2009 P.Semenyuta is a founding partner, Chief Investment Officer
and Head of Investment Committee at „Lakeshore International
Management AG” (Switzerland). Since beginning of 2010 P.Semenyuta
is also the Board Member at “Aladdin Oil & Gas Company ASA”
(Norway). Previously he worked in CIS, Europe and Asia where in
total executed deals over 1 billion USD. The new member of the
management board has obtained Ph.D. in International Economy at the
Moscow University of Consumer Co-operatives.
Therefore, the Management Board is added with high level
professional with the international vision on global market trends
which is necessary for the company’s everyday business. Therefore,
the Management Board of Latvian Shipping Company now consists of
five members as set out in the articles of association – chairman
Imants Sarmulis and members Andris Linužs, Edvīns Bērziņš, Paul
Thomas and P. Semenyuta.
The new member of the Management Board P.Semenyuta does
not own the shares of Latvian Shipping Company.

in a leading position among similar companies in Northern Europe
when it comes to oil shipments. Latvian Shipping Company owns 19
modern up-to-standard tankers employing more than thousand well
trained and experienced seamen from Latvia. In total, the
commercial fleet of Latvian Shipping Company consists of 21 tanker,
as Latvian Shipping Company operates two tankers that belong to
other ship owners. Shortly the fleet of Latvian Shipping Company
will be increased by four new medium-sized vessels.
