There are changes registered at the Commercial Register of the Republic of Latvia on termination of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” participation in the limited liability company “Jūras servisa centrs”, joint registration number 40003462966. The termination of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība participation is based on sale of all its 140 000 (one hundred forty thousand) capital shares in Jūras servisa centrs Ltd. with the nominal value of LVL 140 000 (one hundred forty thousand lats) to company „Intertech Industries Limited” registered in the United Kingdom.

 

The main business of “Jūras servisa centrs” is lab services of chemical and physical analyses of oil fuel, luboil and water samples for shipping and as well as for other industries.

 

“Although, historically “Jūras servisa centrs” Ltd. was a member of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” group, in recent years the fleet of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” is more and more located in the regions around the world where use of other geographically closer similar service providers is economically more favorable. Therefore, decision to sell the shares of “Jūras servisa centrs” Ltd. is logical”, explains Imants Sarmulis chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība”.
