The JSC "Latvijas kuģniecība( Latvian Shipping Company -LASCO) received a ruling from the Rīga City Northern District Court on January 4, 2010, referring to a civil case in which the International Baltic Investments company asked the court to nullify a decision taken by a Latvian Shipping Company shareholder meeting on February 15, 2008, on the appointment of members to the company’s council.

After a hearing on December 8, 2009, the Northern District Court upheld the complaint, but the ruling has not yet taken force.  The ruling can be appealed before the Rīga Regional Court within 20 days’ time after the full ruling is made available.
