With this we want to correct before published information about this year investments.
In the modernization of euro glass melting furnace JSC “Valmieras stikla šķiedra” is 
planning to invest 10, 5 mil. EUR not only in this year as it was published before, 
but in time period from 2007 till 2009.

Referring to the newspaper Dienas Bizness publication on 09.09.2009., JSC
„Valmieras stikla šķiedra” informs that company's bruto turnover in July 2009
was 2998,7 thousand LVL, which is 13% smaller than in year 2008 , the bruto
turnover in august was 2914,4 thousand LVL. It is estimated that this year's
turnover will 10 - 12% less than in year 2008. Next year company plans 10%
turnover rise comparing with this year. 
The company works on cost reduction saving on  raw materials: 2 - 10% and on
packaging : 30%. In order to modernize production the company has invested 10,
5 mil. EUR this year in the modernization of euroglass melting baths stove
that will be 1.5 times more effective, environmently friendly and with less
gass consumption on one production unit.
