JSC “Grindeks” informs on business analyses regarding establishment of injections manufacturing in Latvia. The territory of Riga Free Port is considered as optional placement for the plant. The Chairman of the Council of JSC “Grindeks” Kirovs Lipmans: “The development of modern injections manufacturing plant in Latvia would be perspective and large-scale project, and would strengthen “Grindeks” position in the global pharmaceutical market. Certainly – the construction of injections manufacturing plant requires huge investments. The territory of Riga Free Port provides special economical conditions and tax allowances; therefore we evaluate the territory of Riga Free Port as an option”. According to “Grindeks” strategic plans to expand pharmaceutical holding, the manufacturing is one of priorities. The company constantly invests in modernization of infrastructure and technologies. The purchase of the injections manufacturing company is also still on the agenda, however any decisions regarding establishment or purchase of the injection plant are not taken yet.
