The largest Latvian company, ELKO Grupa JSC – one of the leading wholesalers of IT products and components in Eastern Europe – has become the official distributor of portable computers for Toshiba, the world’s leading IT manufacturer and systems integrator, in the Ukraine.

Toshiba has had a positive experience in its co-operation with ELKO Grupa in the Russian market since 2005 and we are glad that ELKO Grupa has now become the distributor in the Ukraine” – said Igors Snitko, the Regional Director of Toshiba Europe GmbH in the CIS and the Baltic States.

 

Ilgonis Inspēters, the Distribution Director of the ELKO Grupa company, said the following in commenting on the distribution contract signed: “We see genuine long-term prospects for our co-operation with the Toshiba company. This is a company that has been a leader in innovative portable computer technologies for many years and for which this field has always been a priority. Our plan is to broaden our successful co-operation geographically to other territories covered by ELKO Grupa.”

 

ELKO Grupa JSC was founded in 1993. It is Latvia's biggest enterprise and since 2007 has operated with an annual turnover of greater than one billion USD. The main operational direction of the enterprise is the wholesale of computer engineering and electronic goods in the Baltic States, Central and Eastern Europe and CIS countries.
