Latvenergo AS will expand its renewable energy generation portfolio with seven solar power plant projects with a total capacity of 40 MW.

To diversify its energy generation portfolio, to secure long-term value and to reduce electricity prices in the long term, Latvenergo AS has set green energy generation capacity growth targets in its strategy, including through a strategy of mergers and acquisitions of assets. The Group's strategy envisages to grow an economically viable renewable energy generation portfolio, by focusing on solar and wind power plants, reaching a total capacity of 600 MW in 2026.
