Until the appointment of a new Chairman of the Board, one of the Members of the Board of AST, Imants Zviedris, will perform the duties of Chairman of the Board of the electricity transmission system operator JSC "Augstsprieguma tīkls" (AST).

Currently, the evaluation of the applications received and the process of selecting candidates is ongoing. The selection of candidates takes place in a total of four rounds, and the following competencies are evaluated in depth within them - strategic vision, change management, orientation to achieving results, orientation to development, team management, decision-making and responsibility.

The candidate selection process in cooperation with the personnel selection company "Amrop" is ensured by the five-member nomination commission established by the AST Council. The Chairman of the Commission is Kaspars Abolins, the Chairman of the AST Council, the Members of the Nomination Commission are the Member of the AST Council Aigars Germanis, the Head of the Department of Management of State Capital Companies of the State Chancellery's Interdepartmental Coordination Department Dzintra Gasune, the Head of the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Dace Helmane and the Chairman of the Latvian trade union "Energia" Aivars Abolins.
