On the afternoon of August 27, 2008 a fire started in raw materials warehouse of JSC “Latvijas balzams”. Fire brigades successfully localized fire in late afternoon but stayed on alert throughout the night in order to completely finish the last fire remnants. Firemen still are working in order to ensure complete safety. Company’s losses will be estimated after fire experts and insurance company representatives will finish their investigation. Only a part of raw materials was lost in the fire, therefore, company will continue its work as planned today.

 As we have informed earlier, no employees were harmed during the fire. In order to prevent any business risks, JSC “Latvijas balzams” is fully insured.
