The JSC “Rīgas elektromašīnbūves rūpnīca” (RER) plans to implement the project called "Integrated Solutions for Increasing Energy Efficiency of Riga Electric Machinery Factory. Phase 2."

It is planned to acquire the following equipment for the project:
1) Compound die stamping machine for cutting generator stator metal sheets, approximate price – EUR 53,500;

2) Kiln, approximate price – EUR 45,000;

3) A set of environment simulation equipment for product endurance testing, approximate price – EUR 60,000;

4) Climatic chamber, approximate price – EUR 30,000;

5) Carousel turning machine, approximate price – EUR 160,000;

6) Milling-centering machine, approximate price – EUR 150,000;

7) Horizontal machining center, approximate price – EUR 1,250,000; 
8) Universal robotized arc welding workstation, approximate price – EUR 100,000; 
9) Air compressor, approximate price – EUR 33,000;

10) LED lighting kit, approximate price – EUR 55,760. 

 

Procurement of the equipment was announced on 9 May 2018. Deadline for submitting bids – 24 May 2018.

 

The project also includes renovation of the buildings to improve the energy efficiency of the production facility.


We plan to submit the project to the Central Finance and Contracting Agency by 13 June 2018. RER expects to receive co-financing from the Cohesion Fund (CF) for the purpose specified in paragraph 4.1.1 of the European Union Structural Funds support program, i.e., "To promote the efficient energy use, lowering of energy consumption, and the transition to renewable sources of energy in the manufacturing industry." Estimated project related costs – about EUR 2.15 million. Co-financing from CF – 30%. The project implementation timeframe is from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2020.
