On July 31, the Supervisory Council of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” repeatedly elected Vladimir Egger as the Chairman of the Supervisory Council, whereas Boris Bednov was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Council. 

It was earlier reported that the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting of JSC “Latvijas kuģniecība” was held on July 16 of this year, during which the company’s Supervisory Council was re-elected. The following were elected as Supervisory Council members for a period of five years: Vladimir Egger, Andrea Schlaepfer, Varvara Maximova, Olga Kurenkova, Boris Bednov, Dmitrij Yudin, Aleksej Tarasov, Giovanni Fagioli, Kristo Oidermaa and Artūrs Neimanis. The newly elected member of the Supervisory Council is Aleksej Tarasov. 

The shareholders’ meeting adopted a resolution that the new Supervisory Council will work without remuneration – in the same way as it did before. 

JSC “Latvian Shipping Company” (NASDAQ OMX RIGA: LSC1R) is among the biggest vessel owners in the segment of medium and handy size tankers and takes leading positions in terms of the transported amount of petroleum products among similar companies in Northern Europe. The company owns 16 modern vessels employing more than 500 professional and high-skilled seamen from Latvia. The average age of the LK fleet is 7 years. All of the vessels have received ISM (International Safety Management) certificates.
