Regarding the statement “Dienas bizness” from 11.06.2014. that AS
DLRR “is hoping to direct its business from diesel locomotives
repair to the spare parts production” we would like to inform that
AS DLRR was always speaking of turnover source diversification to
reduce currency risks, political risks as well as to increase the
number of clients and increase the turnover. The abovementioned
phrase means exactly the diversification of the production with the
aim of reaching half of the yearly turnover with the production of
spare parts. This is one of the main strategic aims for the further
successful development of the company. To reach the aim we are in
the active phase of purchasing new equipment in the scope of
European financing project, which will allow us not only to improve
the quality of the production of the spare parts, but also to
increase spectrum of the spare parts production. The same reason
lies behind the aim to increase the European share of the turnover.
Regarding the budget for 2014, the company is planning to reach the
turnover of not less than 30 mln EUR as well as to finish the
financial year with profit. Regarding the “Diesel train
modernization project”. Considering that in December the division
of work was approximate, the share of the company mentioned in the
statement dated 17th of December 2013 does not correspond to the
current situation. After the beginning of the project development
members of the General partnership reached the agreement to
redistribute some the work scope to reach maximum efficiency, and
total current share of the company is apr.9.8 mln.EUR. Each member
of the partnership has its interest in the project thus each member
is interested in such distribution, which makes maximum efficiency
and minimal costs. This becomes possible only when every member is
working in its field of expertise.
