Consolidated net profit of the public joint stock company Ventspils nafta Group has reached 3.08 million lats in the first quarter of 2010 with the Group's consolidated net turnover of 14.6 million lats in the first three months.

Tā kā VN asociētais uzņēmumus AS Latvijas Kuģniecība (LK) nav ņēmusi vērā VN rakstisku lūgumu publicēt tās 2010. gada 1. ceturkšņa rezultātus pirms 2010. gada 31. maija, VN ir spiesta publicēt savus 2010. gada 1. ceturkšņa neauditētos konsolidētos finanšu pārskatus bez AS Latvijas Kuģniecība datiem.

Taking into account that VN associated company Latvian Shipping Company (LASCO) has not published its financial reports for 1st quarter of 2010 as requested by VN before 31 May, VN is forced to publish its financial report for 1st quarter of 2010 without data on LASCO.

„Since the management change in the beginning of the year, important steps have been taken in direction of the business performance and optimization of Ventspils nafta. In first months of this year we have decreased administrative costs by almost 50%, which can be already seen as important achievement. In tough global trading conditions it is imperative that Ventspils nafta remains businesslike and competitve in everything that it does,” says VN Chairman of the Board Simon Boddy.
