In connection with the planned changes in the composition of the Supervisory Board of SIA “Rīgas ūdens”, an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting was convened on 29 August this year, during which a decision was adopted to extend the mandate of Dace Ljusa. 

Recognizing D. Ljusa’s professional competence and experience in the company’s governance, the shareholders’ meeting resolved to reappoint Dace Ljusa to the Supervisory Board of SIA “Rīgas ūdens” for a new term. This decision was necessary as her mandate was set to expire on 7 September. 

Meanwhile, due to amendments in the regulatory framework that introduce further restrictions on holding multiple public positions, the Rector of Riga Technical University (RTU), Tālis Juhna, in compliance with the requirements of the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest in Activities of Public Officials, has announced his resignation from the position of Supervisory Board Member of SIA“Rīgas ūdens”, effective 31 August 2025. 

Imants Paeglītis and Dace Ljusa will continue serving on the Supervisory Board of SIA “Rīgas ūdens”. Until the appointment of the third board member, the Supervisory Board will operate in an incomplete composition. The selection process announced by Riga City Municipality for the third Supervisory Board member of SIA Rīgas ūdens is expected to conclude in September–October 2025. 

The shareholders’ meeting also addressed issues concerning amendments to the Articles of Association of SIA “Rīgas ūdens”, the approval of the Audit Committee’s regulations, the election of members of the Audit Committee, and other matters.
