In the 12 months of 2024, the growth of the portfolio of support instruments far exceeds the growth during 2023. In total, within the 12 months of 2024, the new transactions of ALTUM support instruments amounted to 426 million euros, financing 7501 new projects. In the 12 months of 2024, compared to 2023, the new transactions have increased significantly in terms of volume (+137 million euros, +47%) and number of supported projects (+1814 transactions, +32%).

Trends characterizing the reporting period:

  • In the 12 months of 2024 in general and in the 4th quarter in particular there has been increased activity in the new guarantee transactions compared to the corresponding period in 2023. The amount of new guarantees in 2024 is 142 million euros (+42 million euros). The increased volume of transactions during the 4th quarter is influenced by a rapid increase of new transactions in the SME and Midcap segment. The total volume of new guarantees in this segment during 12 months of 2024 is 71 million euros (+15 million euros), of which 22 million euros were issued in the 4th quarter. The volume of new transactions is also significant in the segment of guarantees for individuals, where guarantees issued in the 12 months of 2024 amount to 68 million euros (+28 million euros). In this segment there is a stable increase in the guarantee portfolio for the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility’s guarantees for energy-efficiency projects of multi-apartment buildings, and the high demand for housing guarantees observed in the 3rd quarter is also ongoing.
  • The crediting in the 4th quarter still shows the increase in crediting activity that was observed during the whole of 2024, compared to the corresponding period in 2023. The amount of new loans in the 12 months of 2024 is 222 million euros (+80 million euros).  The increase in the volume of new transactions in the 4th quarter, similar to the 3rd quarter, was mainly influenced by the rapid increase of the new transactions in the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility’s digital transformation and energy efficiency improvement programmes - loans granted in 12 months amount to 36 million euros (+29 million euros). A rapid increase of new transactions is also continued in the Large Investment Loan Programme with a capital rebate – loans granted in 12 months amount to 32 million euros (+25 million euros).
  • The demand remains stable for loans to companies with ticket size up to EUR 100 thousand with decreased collateral requirements, which ALTUM implemented as of beginning of the year to promote lending in the regions. 740 new transactions were made in 12 months at the total amount of 25.5 million euros.
