The Supervisory Board of AS “Citadele banka” has appointed Johan Akerblom as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO.

Johan Akerblom, who has more than 13 years of experience in financial sector, joined Citadele two years ago as Chief Financial Officer and has since successfully supported the Group’s strategic development and financial performance.

Mr. Akerblom was appointed as acting Chairman of the Management Board as of 2 March 2020. While acting as the interim Chairman of the Management Board and CEO, he successfully led the Bank during the state of emergency, maintaining the Bank’s financial stability and employee safety.

The appointment is pending confirmation from the Financial and Capital Market Commission. Johan Akerblom does not hold any shares in AS “Citadele banka”.
