Another patrol ship will be built in Latvia!

In the very beginning of July JSC Rīgas Kuģu Būvētava has started to build the fifth SWATH type patrol ship, which is planned to be delivered in February of 2014. The patrol ship is planned to be a name given „Rezekne”.

The patrol ship building is going on according to contract concluded between Ministry of Defense and Riga Shipyard on 21st of December year 2007. The contract foresees all five patrol ships to be delivered till year 2014.

“Rēzekne” will be used not only for military purposes, but also for civilian Human search and rescue.
