Teksts 1 October, 2007 the Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia Aleksander Gerasimenko visited JSC Grindeks to meet with the Chairman of the Council Kirov Lipman, the Chairman of the Board Jānis Romanovskis and other members of Grindeks` management.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Board Mr. Romanovskis introduced the Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia with the operations of the Company and its development plans. Both parties discussed possibilities and the development potential of cross-border cooperation between Latvia and Belarus, as well as Grindeks` offer of collaboration with the biggest Byelorussian pharmaceutical producer “Borisov Medical Preparations Plant”.

„Belarus is a fast growing and a very attractive market. I am convinced that the cooperation with Belarus in the field of business activities is possible on the highest level and Grindeks is ready to prove it with its example”, expressed the Chairman of the Council of Grindeks Mr. Lipmans.

The Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia, after the meeting with the members of Grindeks` management, highly appreciated the cross-border cooperation potential between Latvia and Belarus, as well as Grindeks` pronounced collaboration proposal.

JSC "Grindeks" is the leading pharmaceutical company in the Baltic States, specializing in the manufacturing of heart and cardiovascular medications; CNS drugs and anti-cancer agents. Its concern consists of four subsidiary companies in Latvia, Estonia and Russia and eight representative offices. The representative office in Belarus is working since 2002. Sales amount of the final dosage forms in this country increases every year, and during the first 6 months of 2007 it comprised 5.7% of the total final dosage forms sales amount. Grindeks` production is exported to 40 countries. Main sales markets are: Baltic States, Russia, and CIS countries, Japan, USA. Grindeks shares are listed in the Official list of Riga Stock Exchange.
