Madara Melne, a member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee of the JSC Augstsprieguma tīkls (AST) has resigned as of 26 January. The Supervisory Board shall continue to serve with four members until the election of a new member. The Cross-Sectoral Coordination Centre of Latvia will hold an open competition for the vacant position. The AST Audit Committee was re-elected on Wednesday, 2 February, during the AST Shareholders' meeting. The two independent members of the Audit Committee Andris Puriņš and Ivars Blumbergs who were previously selected in an open competition process, will continue to serve on the Supervisory Board along with the new member Aigars Ģērmanis.
