JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra May 29, 2008 Comment on Results of 4 Months 2008 In the first four months 2008, JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra made a profit of LVL 550,000 (EUR 780,000). Net turnover in the first four months 2008 amounted to 13.4 million lats (EUR 19.06 million), which exceeds budget by 1%. Our profit in the first four months 2007 amounted to LVL 620,000 (EUR 882,000), net turnover reached LVL 12.86 million lats (EUR 18.3 million). In continuation of the investments of preceding years, JSC Valmieras stikla šķiedra is planning to invest 8 million lats (11.5 million EUR) in 2008 into production development. Te largest investment is to be the scheduled reconstruction of a glass furnace built in 2001, stepping up its production output by 50%. Investments in other stages of production are also planned in order to increase the share of products with a higher degree of processing.
