JSC “Latvijas balzams” has announced it has become a shareholder in the Limited Liability Company “Daugavgrivas 7” that is active in the field of real estate.

On 5 January 2015 JSC “Latvijas balzams” signed a Purchase Agreement for Shares and acquired 100% of the shares in the Limited Liability Company “Daugavgrivas 7” for the purpose of establishing a representation centre to promote its products, strengthen the company image and welcome its cooperation partners at the property owned by the Limited Liability Company “Daugavgrivas 7”.

“The rules regarding the advertising of alcohol impose increasingly strict restrictions on the advertising of strong alcoholic drinks, including outdoor advertisements, and as producers we have to think about alternative solutions and projects for presenting our brands and their history. As the company does not have its own museum premises and cooperation partners are welcome at the production premises, we intend to create a presentation and exhibition of the 115-year history of “Latvijas balzams,” commented Chairman of the Board Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš on the transaction. He estimates that the project will take 4 to 5 years to complete.
