V.Melniks apply for the position of the Member of the Council of RKB

            Vasilijs Melniks has left the position of The Chairman of the Board of Joint Stock Company „Rīgas kuģu būvētava” (RKB) in order to participate in the elections of the new board. Vasilijs Melniks has made a decision to concentrate his activity in the future on RKB’s strategic projects realization.

            „For 2 years already I’m working for shipyard developing by attracting foreign investors. The inlaid efforts already have given certain results in the display of new perspective action directions: as it was already reported, recently have been signed the protocol of intentions with the Singapore company that will allow „Rīgas kuģu būvētava” to begin a new development link - will operate in the production of oil and gas drilling rig platforms. Similarly I can make happy our well-wishers and our critics - an enterprise is actively beginning new season of ship repair, agreements are signed both for repair and building of the new ships. It gives the base to look with optimism in plant’s future," - Vasilijs Melniks pointed.

The full meeting JSC „Rīgas kuģu būvētava” of shareholders, a new council will be elected in that also, will take place this Friday, on the 25th of April. There will be also reelected the Board of the enterprise, which will operate professionally and independently.
